Each year, we split the first $5,400 in commissions fifty-fifty. You keep $2,700, and the company keeps $2,700. After that, you keep 100% of every commission you make for the rest of the year. To cover our costs, a transaction fee of $88 is deducted out of each check. We also deduct the city tax on the commission ($5.80 per $1,000). Wainwright agents pay no association dues and no office fees, which amount to hundreds of dollars in savings a year. At Wainwright, we know it’s important to learn how to do things right, so we get our agents off to a great start with free, comprehensive classroom instruction from a licensed real estate instructor.
